SharePoint Integration

The SharePoint integration allows DataQI to index and access content from SharePoint drives and folders, enabling assistants to respond with trusted, up-to-date information directly from organisational repositories.

Overview

- Supported Content Types: `.doc`, `.docx`, `.pdf`, `.txt`, `.md`

- Refresh Interval: Every 1 hour

- Scope: Specific folders or entire drives can be connected

- Limitations: Excel files are not supported. Tables embedded in Word documents and PDFs are not extracted.

Configuration Process

To connect SharePoint to DataQI, organisations must coordinate with the DataQI Success Team. This step is required before users are given access to the platform.

1. Contact the Success Team at help@dataqi.ai to initiate the SharePoint setup.

2. A representative will guide your organisation through the secure linking process, including authentication and access configuration.

3. Once complete, the designated folders or drives will be indexed by DataQI and made available to relevant assistants.

If your SharePoint connection details change at any time, or if you need to add/remove folders, please contact the Success Team again at help@dataqi.ai.

Access and Security

- Access is controlled using your organisation’s SharePoint permissions.

- Assistants only see content they are permitted to access, inheriting access policies from SharePoint and any internal scoping defined within DataQI.

This integration ensures a secure and controlled flow of information from your SharePoint environment into the DataQI platform.
