Google Drive Integration
The Google Drive integration allows DataQI to index and retrieve documents from selected folders or drives, enabling AI assistants to provide answers based on live, structured internal content.
Overview
- Supported Content Types: `.doc`, `.docx`, `.pdf`, `.txt`, `.md`
- Refresh Interval: Every 1 hour
- Scope: Specific folders or entire drives can be linked
- Limitations: Excel files are not supported. Tables embedded in Word documents and PDFs are not extracted.
Configuration Process
To connect Google Drive to DataQI, organisations must work with the DataQI Success Team to set up access prior to platform use.
1. Email help@dataqi.ai to request integration setup.
2. A member of the Success Team will assist in configuring a secure link and setting the appropriate access levels.
3. Once confirmed, the linked drives or folders will be indexed automatically and available to assistants.

Access and Security
- Drive access is scoped using Google Drive’s native permissions.
- DataQI will only index content that the integration service has permission to access.
- Internal content access within DataQI is additionally scoped per assistant.
This integration ensures a secure, organisation-managed connection between your Google Drive environment and the DataQI platform.
